Teeth whitening can lighten the natural colour of your teeth and make them look whiter. It can also help to remove unwanted stains caused by smoking, drinking red wine, tea and coffee.
It doesn’t remove any surface enamel from your teeth, and rather than altering the natural colour it simply lightens the existing shade.
We supply a professional home whitening kit called White Dental Beauty - a high quality, worldwide tooth whitening brand. The whole process will take about 4 weeks (2 weeks to custom-make your dental moulds, and 2 weeks of whitening).
You might want to consider teeth whitening if the colour of your teeth if affecting your confidence. Perhaps you even try to cover your mouth when you smile.
Teeth whitening is a relatively easy and inexpensive treatment. It works best on yellowish teeth and is less effective on brown or grey teeth or teeth discoloured by antibiotics.
If you’ve already had restoration work such as white fillings, veneers, crowns or implants those teeth will remain the same colour (and not be whitened).

You will normally need two appointments, plus a period of time applying the whitening at home.
1st appointment
We give you an oral check and take impressions of your teeth.
2nd appointment
Approximately 2 weeks later, when your bespoke mould is ready, we:
- Make sure it fits comfortably and
- Go through the instructions on how to use your whitening kit.
You decide when the desired degree of whiteness has been achieved.
Some patients may experience a little gum sensitivity during their teeth whitening or possibly some slight variability in the whiteness (as each tooth may react differently).
The results of the whitening can last months to years depending on your diet and lifestyle. If you smoke or consume teeth-staining foods or drinks your teeth will discolour more quickly.
